Message from Mayor Robin Laubaugh , City of Wadsworth, on voting

Dear Wadsworth Citizen,

Several months ago, you were so kind to fill out a survey to give direction to the City Administration and City Council concerning your thoughts on the condition of the streets in the community and the preferred method to pay for needed improvements. That valuable input led to the recommendation of a 0.1%, 10 year increase in the City income tax specified to go toward street improvement and maintenance. This issue will be voted on tomorrow, Tuesday, May 3rd. Passage of this issue will allow for the elimination of future street assessments during the time of the issue. After a 2 year study of the condition of our streets, it was determined that this funding added to our current street improvement budget, will allow for a much higher level of service for the City streets at a lower cost of repairs and will extend the life of the pavement. Tuesday, May 3rd (tomorrow!) is election day, and as always I'd like to encourage you to exercise your right to vote.

Thank you for your consideration,

Robin Laubaugh
Mayor, City of Wadsworth
